Balou is a unique local event place with a high-energy, themed dance and night entertainment in the oldtown of Tallinn near by Vabaduse Väljak. We are located in a medieval house on 2 floors (basement and first level) and are open from thursdays to saturdays.

Balou is a mainstay of the city’s underground music scene with a mix of regular club nights and special events. With a capacity for approx. 400 people including a beautiful yard, which is surrounded by a 6m high ancient wall, the musical focus lies on Electro, Drum’n'Bass, Dubstep, Hip-Hop and Funk. As well as residencies by a stable of local DJs, Balou more and more hosts international spinmasters like Alix Perez, Bullion, Storm, Raiden, Blu Mar Ten, Muffler, Tahira, James Blake to name a few. Our goal is to create a new stylish and atmospheric place with miscellaneous music events. In short: a place where different music meets different people.

In spring/summer time Balou opens a daily café where it is possible to buy delicious sandwiches and cakes. As well it is possible to order a nice shisha.

In the basement area You will find the lounge room with 40 sitting possibilities and the main bar. As well the wardrobe, the women and the men toilets are located there. On the first floor is the dance area and a second bar.
